Can You Learn to Read Tarot Cards?

Reading tarot cards is a talent, like singing. Everyone has the ability to sing at some level. Some people are as talented as opera singers; some can only carry a tune. There's no mystery in that. It's an ability you can improve upon, and it's very much like paraphrasing. Remember when you saw a great movie or read a great book? You just had to tell your best friend all about it, but you hadn't memorized it. So what did you do? You paraphrased it. You knew the intent of the author, you knew how it felt to read it or watch it. Then, you just had to convey it to someone else.

Two Award-Winning Films That Are Pretty Average

Antonia's Line won the 1995 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but its postscript fails to reveal a dark side that Hollywood typically ignores, making it an average film at best. The Aviator earns 11 Oscar nominations and wins five, including Cate Blanchett's portrayal as Katharine Hepburn, but was simply too negative and too graphic in its presentation to become a great film.

Lahz Nimmo Architects

In a field cluttered with eccentric and vague personalities, Annabel Lahz is a welcomed breath of normalcy. Annabel, one-half of the successful Lahz Nimmo architectural team, is as unassuming as she is talented. At a glance, the professions best fitting her image are an elementary school teacher, or English tutor in an Ivy-league prep school. Instead, Annabel is a design powerhouse credited with numerous architectural awards, not the least of which are: The Royal Australian Institute of Architects at both State and National levels for Residential, Commercial, Public Architecture, and Urban Design projects.

Batman Returns Movie Review

I'm of two minds on this film. On the one hand, this is a visually rich, dramatically inventive, character driven piece that works well if it were not a Batman film but rather a "Tim Burton" film. On the other hand, this is supposed to be a Batman film and whatever the powers that be decided to let Burton cut loose with "his vision" of the project, we end up with a film that is fascinating but ultimately is not a Batman film and will disappoint on that level.

The Account of the Dogface Demon (Revised and Reedited 7-2008)

The story was written in January 1, 2002, revised the first time in 9-2005, and reedited 7-2008. It has been said, and documented, to my understanding, but I didn't know at the time, there is a demon called The Dog Demon, once seen in the ancient land of Mesopotamia. Well, my dear friends, (whoever may be reading this) he is well and alive here on planet earth. Matter-of-fact, I can pin down the time, and whereabouts of this beast, freak, or creature of nature (meaning he is quite different than us at this very writing). Maybe he is a creature scorned by the Universe; but I have met him, I mean, seen him.

Batman Gotham Knight - Review

The movie/series, Gotham Knight is a 75 minute collection of animations that are separated into six chapters that are intended to be viewed as a whole. The story of Gotham Knight explores Bruce Wayne's transition from his beginning as a tormented vigilante to The Dark Knight of a crumbling metropolis. I should inform you that I am in fact not a huge Batman fan although I have in fact watched all of them since the days of Michael Keaton.

Evolution of the James Bond Films

Casino Royale was a welcome return to a harder edged Bond that had been absent for years, and although the casting of Daniel Craig in the starring role initially brought with it a huge amount of venomous criticism, his portrayal of 007 was almost universally lauded and the film received an unexpectedly positive response from film critics worldwide. Part of the problem with James Bond movies for years is that they have been unrealistic and using comedy elements that detract from the tension created by the action and dramatic aspects of the screenplay.
